On the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the birth of the great Renaissance painter, the Institute hosts a round table in which the curators of the three exhibitions dedicated to him, here in the United States, will discuss the prolific career of the artist and their curatorial choices:
Andrea Bayer, curator of Celebrating Tintoretto: Porttrait Pantings and Studio Drawings, Metropolitan Museum, New York
Frederich Ilchman, curator of Tintoretto: Artist of Renaissance Venice, National Gallery of Art, Washington
John Marciari, curator of Drawing in Tintoretto’s Venice, Morgan Library, New York
