ANSA. Friends and family unable to join foreign couples tying the knot in Venice will now be able to follow the ceremony live online thanks to a new webcam service. The municipal council has organized a system that allows civil ceremonies taking place in Venice city hall a few steps from the Rialto Bridge to be broadcast online at an extra charge. AP. Archaeologists have unearthed a sprawling country villa believed to be the birthplace of Vespasian, the Roman emperor who built the Colosseum, they said Friday. The 2,000-year-old ruins were found about 80 miles (130 kilometers) northeast of Rome, near Cittareale, lead archaeologist Filippo Coarelli said. (Read the article)

ANSA. The capital's National Gallery of Modern Art (GNAM) is celebrating the grand dame of 20th-century Italian art, critic Palma Bucarelli. Bucarelli, who was GNAM superintendent for 34 years, turned the museum into an international attraction and helped popularize contemporary trends in Italy and abroad. ANSA. Pope Benedict XVI is to release a CD of songs, prayers and music in time for Christmas, the Vatican said Friday. The CD is to be released on the Geffen UK label, whose parent company Interscope-Geffen-A&M is better known for stars such as Eminem, Guns N' Roses and the Pussycat Dolls. (Read the article)
